Penny Wells Hill, 67, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at her home. She was born in Wayne County to the late Anthony Mark Wells and Shirley Bass Justice on November 30, 1956. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Edward Wells and the father of her children, David Ray Hill.

Penny was a valued employee of Murray’s in Goldsboro for many years. Many patrons of the restaurant would seek her out so she could wait on them because they were treated like family. To know Penny was to love her.

The family will gather for a time of visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Seymour Funeral Home.

Penny is survived by her daughters, Laurie Rae Hill (Robby) and April DeLaine Hill (Tee Jay); brothers, Tony Wells and Joey Wells; nephews, Jaxon Wells and Brayden Wells; niece, Kimberly Ann Wells; and great-niece, Jazmine Taylor.
