Douglas “Willie” Wayne Davis, Jr., age 55, passed away Sunday, February 4th at his residence. Born in Lenoir County, he was the son of Douglas “Sam” Wayne Davis, Sr., and the late Reva Maxine Carr Davis. Willie was an avid outdoorsman, loving to fish and be with his animals.

The family will be present at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 7th from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.

In addition to his father, Douglas “Sam” Davis Sr., Willie is survived by his significant other, Renee Johnson; his sons, Justin Wayne Davis and Lee Edward Davis; his brothers, Leonard Wilson Birchfield, Kenneth Lee Birchfield, Dennis Ray Birchfield, Arthur Claybourn Davis, William Craig Davis; his grandchildren, Emma Rose Davis, Zayden Cole Davis, Kaylee Nora Davis, and Bryson Lee Nunn.
