Albert Floyd Pate, 91, passed away in Florida on January 31, 2024. Born in Montgomery, Alabama on October 9, 1931, he was the son of the late Floyd Clarkson Pate and Mildred Slaughter Pate. In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Jane Blue Pate.

Albert retired from the United States Army as a medical technologist. Albert had a keen and deep appreciation for the opportunities that the Army provided.

Albert is survived by his sons, Alan C. Pate and James Leon Pate; and granddaughter Julia Pate Bond.

A private internment will be held at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro.
