Early this morning firefighters from Faison were dispatched to the scene of an overturned  hog truck at the intersection of Highway 403 and the 117 bypass near the I-40 connector.

A hog truck belonging to Prestige had overturned onto its passenger side. The driver was making a left turn off NC 403 onto the I-40 connector when the load shifted and caused the truck to tip over on its side.

The driver wasn’t injured in the accident. Faison firefighters detoured traffic through the accident site while the cleanup operation is in progress.
The driver was charged by North Carolina Highway Patrol with a safe movement violation.
