Mr. Herman L. Gooding, 85, completed his earthly journey on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 2:00 pm at St. Peter Church of Christ, 602 J P Harrison Blvd, Kinston, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Nannie D. Loftin Memorial Chapel at Loftin Memorial-J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home, 106 N. East Street, Kinston, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Mills Memorial Gardens, 1300 Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Kinston, NC.

He was born on October 18, 1938, in Trenton, NC to Herman L. Gooding and Jazebell Jones. He is survived by his children and other loving relatives and friends.
