On Saturday at approximately 10 a.m., the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a single-vehicle traffic crash in the 400 block of N. Spence Avenue.

Miranda L. Jones, the driver of a Toyota passenger car, was traveling north on Spence Avenue when the driver lost control of the vehicle and ran off the road striking a power pole. The vehicle then rolled over and came to rest on its side.

Jones was taken to Wayne UNC Health for treatment of minor injuries, and she was cited for exceeding the posted speed limit, careless and reckless driving, and failure to maintain lane control. The investigation is still ongoing and other charges may be filed.
