Arrest Made in 2nd Degree Forcible Sex Offense

On Jan. 3, the Goldsboro Police Department received a report regarding an alleged sexual assault that occurred at the Goldsboro Spine Center located at 605 N. Spence Ave.

On Jan. 4, the Goldsboro Police Department received another report of an alleged sexual assault that occurred at Goldsboro Spine Center. An investigation into these allegations was conducted and a suspect was developed. A third victim was discovered during this investigation.

On Jan. 19, warrants were obtained for Daniel James Chase, 45, for three counts of 2nd Degree Forcible Sex Offense. Chase was an independent contractor working with the Goldsboro Spine Center. Goldsboro Spine Center has fully cooperated with the investigation.

Chase turned himself in to the Wayne County Magistrate’s office on Jan. 22. He was given a $25,000 secured bond. He was placed in the custody of the Wayne County Detention Center for processing.
