Janice Marie Boyd

Janice Marie Boyd

January 18, 2024, 77, Goldsboro —

Janice Marie Boyd, 77, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on Thursday, January 18, 2024. She was born in Mobile, Alabama to the late John and Ruth Boyd on August 12, 1946.

Following her graduation from college, Janice worked as an RN. She used her knowledge and compassion in the medical field to work in various capacities in different locations over the years. She worked in Greenville, South Carolina, Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, Howell’s Child Care Center, Life Inc., and RHA Health Services, and served as a Nursing Consultant, for TLC in Sanford NC. Her understanding of rules and regulations enabled her to answer questions and provide guidance and support regardless of the situation. Janice was also what some of us lovingly called a proxy Nurse to many of her family and friends whenever there was a medical question. She loved helping others and it was obvious through her many years of service that she had a true calling to be a Nurse.

Janice’s life was a testament to selflessness and dedication, evident in her unwavering love for her family. Her heart overflowed with love for the Lord. She cherished her church family at New Hope Church of God where she was an active member. Janice also had a great love for her community and served for many years as treasurer of the Salvation Army Auxiliary.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of Providence Church, 202 Providence Church Road, Goldsboro. A service to celebrate Janice’s life will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Charlie Asby officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
