Charles Daniel Holland, Sr., 72, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Meadowview Assisted Living in Smithfield. Born in Johnston County on October 18, 1951, he was the son of the late George Kenneth Holland, Sr. and Catherine Fields Holland.

Charles is survived by his children, Charles “Chuck” Holland, Jr. and wife, Mandie, Stephen Holland and wife, Tara, Stephanie Atkins and husband, Kevin, Crystal Thompson; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his brother, Jimmy Holland; and his sisters, Linda Barnes and JoAnn Holland.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ray, Kenneth, Jerry, and Wayne Holland.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kenly Cemetery with Pastor Aubrey Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
