Betty Sue Walters Price, 65, of Ahoskie, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Roanoke-Chowan ECU Hospital in Ahoskie.
Born in Laurinburg, she had been a resident of the Seven Springs area, and during that time, she fellowshiped with Zion Methodist Church and sang in the church choir. In 2012, she relocated to the Ahoskie area.
Ms. Price was retired from the United States Department of Agriculture, having been employed as a poultry meat inspector.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 14, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be on Monday, January 15, at 1 p.m. at the Pineview Cemetery, Seven Springs.
Ms. Price is survived by her two sons, Paul Price of Seven Springs, and Joe Price with wife, Tammy, also of Seven Springs; three step-grandchildren, Riot Brantley, Michael Alexander “Alex” Davidson, and James Davidson and their spouses; a sister, Shelby Wooten of Laurinburg; many nieces and nephews and their families; and a special friend, Debbie Hare and her partner, Richard Perry, of Ahoskie.
She now joins in death the company of her parents, George and Ruth Walters; four brothers, Billy Ray Walters, Ricky Wayne Walters, Joe Walters, and Jimmy Walters; and two sisters, Geraldine Perkins and Sissy Walters.
