WCHRA Makes Donation to Growing Generations

On Dec. 19, the Wayne County Human Resources Association (WCHRA) presented a donation to Growing Generations, a local, non-profit organization.

Through fundraising efforts, including a 50/50 raffle, WCHRA members raised money and donated $500 to Growing Generations. Growing Generations, started by veteran Stacey Perkins, is a new organization with a big heart.

Growing Generations partners with various agencies such as Wayne Pregnancy Center, Goldsboro Housing Authority, Cry Freedom, Habitat for Humanity, and Wayne Uplift Resource Association, Inc. in Wayne County to extend a helping hand to underserved families who are either below the poverty level or in need of a little extra help by providing essential cleaning supplies to these families.

In addition, Growing Generations provides Dignity hygiene kits to families with school-aged children, as they may face challenges in providing these items for their children.

With the help of our Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, the Wayne County Human Resources Association presented the donation to Growing Generations during a Facebook live event commemorating the occasion.
