January 8, 2024, 79, Princeton —

Doris Jeanette Moore Woodard, 79, of Princeton passed away at UNC Johnston Health on Monday, January 8, 2024.  Doris was born in Wayne County on July 29, 1944, to the late Sally Lucille Martin Lamm.  In addition to her mother, Doris was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Woodard Tyndall.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Ray Woodard; son, Charles Ray  “C J” Woodard, Jr. of Princeton; sisters, Sylvia Locco of Wilmington and Margaret Senaka of Arizona; and grandchildren, Thomas Cody Tyndall and Tristan Ray Tyndall.

The family will receive friends from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm on Thursday, January 10, 2024, at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.

Services will be held in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations on Thursday, January 10, 2024, at 6:00 pm in the Chapel of Casey Funeral Home & Cremations with Reverend Pastor Dennis Pollock officiating.  The burial will take place in the Oliver/Wiggs Cemetery in Pine Level.
