January 4, 2024, 81, LaGrange –

James Leonard Dennison, 81, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the NC Veterans Home in Kinston. Born November 2, 1942, in Minocqua, WI, he was the son of the late James Stuart Dennison and Josephine Matthews Dennison.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Rowland Dennison.

James loved his country and protecting those that he loved. With great pride, he joined the United States Air Force where he was able to not only protect his loved ones but to now protect his country.

He leaves cherished fond memories to his daughters, Satina L. Boan (husband, Harold) of LaGrange and Nikki Hardister (husband, Brad) of Goldsboro; grandson, Dusty Hardister (wife, Kim); great-grandchildren, Thomas and McKenna Hardister; and other relatives and friends.

At the request of the family, services will be private.
