DUDLEY — Early Saturday afternoon, firefighters from Dudley and an EMS unit were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle accident on Genoa Road near Mobile Circle with possible injuries.
Several Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies were in the area and responded to the scene. As emergency personnel arrived on the scene they found two vehicles, a passenger car and a pickup truck hadcollided and were off the road on the edge of the woods.
Both vehicles were heading south on Genoa Road approaching Mobile Circle when the pickup truck struck the passenger car in the rear causing major damage to the car.
The accident is being investigated by the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
