The Management and Staff of Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors, announce the earthly transition of Mr. Bernard Lee, 61 of Mount Olive, NC. Mr. Lee transitioned from this life peacefully and entered his eternal life on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC.
To know that death is a part of life never makes the goodbyes or sorrow any easier, but to know the smile he smiled so warmly is now smiling from Heaven above. It gives us the strength to continue because Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.
Bernard A. Lee was born to the late Luby and Vera Lee on July 23, 1962. He was educated in the Wayne County Public School System in Mount Olive, North Carolina. He was baptized at an early age under the guidance of his parents. He worked various jobs during his life including employment at Mount Olive Pickle Company. He enjoyed sitting at home, listening to music, and watching movies. He loved spending time with his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory: two children, Frank Morrisey of Clinton, NC. and Krystal Morrisey of Godwin, NC. Five grandchildren and three brothers; Willie Lee (Doris) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Alfonzo Lee (Brenda) of Dudley, NC., and Vernon Lee (Christine) of Mount Olive, NC. Six sisters; Virginia Thomas (Phillip) of Indian Head, Maryland, Marva Preatty of Mount Olive, NC, Sharon Greenfield (James) of Seven Springs, NC., Wanda F. Higgs (Leland) of Mount Olive, NC., Vera J McCullen (Herman) of Mount Olive, NC., Barbara Johnson, (Tony) of Columbus, Georgia, a special friend, Ms. Esther (Nikki) Vaughn, and a host of cousins.
