December 25, 2023, 78, Goldsboro —

Danny Eugene Evans, 78, passed away suddenly at home on Christmas Day. Danny was born in Johnston County to the late Woodrow and Viola Evans on February 9, 1945. He is survived by his wife, LaNell Smith Evans; his daughter, Natalie Evans Ira; and his grandson, Dalton Ira; and many extended family members.

Danny owned and operated the Contracting Service Company for many years in addition to other joint ventures in the janitorial contracting business. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and loved to talk and laugh with just about anyone. Danny was an avid golfer and loved going to the beach and spending time near the ocean.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 29, 2023, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall at Pine Forest Methodist Church followed by a service to celebrate Danny’s life at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary with Pastor Tabitha Pate officiating.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
