December 25, 2023, 71, Goldsboro –
Cathy Leigh Loch, 71, passed away on December 25, 2023, at WakeMed Hospital, Raleigh. Born in Wayne County, on October 7, 1952, she was the daughter of the late William Fredrick Honaker Sr. and Mary Margaret Honaker.
Cathy was the most kind-hearted individual anyone could ever meet. Her love for people was always displayed everywhere she went. She carried a burden for people and took their hurt as her own.
One of her top priorities was her family. There was nothing that she would not do for her family and she was the most supportive person for her family that you ever met. She was labeled as the “Best Friend”, “Best Mom”, “Best Sister”, and “Best Wife” one could ever have by her family. After meeting her, many others felt the same way.
Later in life, after losing her sight, she developed a special bond with her four-legged baby. Though not a dog lover, Rocky stole her heart and then became her eyes and her protector.
Above all, the most important thing to Cathy was her faith in God. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and had a love and genuine concern for His people. Her favorite verse was Matthew 25:23, “His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” She was a devout member of the First Christian Church of Goldsboro.
Cathy leaves behind a wealth of love to the love of her life for 52 years, husband, Dennis Loch; sons, Zach Loch (wife, Nena) and Ben Loch; daughter, Cody (husband, Gary); grandchildren, Jaisa (husband, Justin), Carter, Holden, and Aiden; sisters, Mary Jane Rose and Sandy Warden; brother, William F. Honaker Jr; several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will take place Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 2:30 pm at First Christian Church Goldsboro with Rev. Tom Millay officiating. Memorials in honor of Cathy may be sent to First Christian Church.
Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
