On December 27, 2023, at approximately 8:40 p.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter alert at D & C Mini Mart at 1007 E Elm St. While in route, they received a separate call regarding a robbery at the same establishment. Once on the scene, officers made contact with the owners and an employee, who stated two armed individuals entered the store and carried out the robbery. 

Shots were fired during the robbery, but no injuries were reported. This is an ongoing investigation, and no further information will be released at this time.
