Joyce Ann Brothers, 74, passed away at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Born in St. Lawrence, New York on December 22, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Theodore Lavine and Elizabeth Oney Lavine.

For many years, Joyce worked as a clerk with the New York DMV. After her retirement, Joyce could be seen out enjoying watching birds and many other wild animals. When not outside, Joyce would be enjoying a good book.

Per her request, no formal services will be held.

Joyce is survived by her son, Blake Webber; and brother, Theodore W. Lavine, as well as many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her son, Robert Webber; brother, Jack Lavine; and sister, Helen Petra.

Services have been entrusted to Kenly Funeral Service.
