Heather Camille Watkins, 50, passed away at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill on Saturday, December 16, 2023. Born in Cambridge, New York on January 26, 1973, she was the daughter of the late Tammy Pedersen.

Heather is survived by her husband, Tal Watkins; sons, Colton Sullivan and Ashe Sullivan and wife, Claudia; grandchildren, Ember Sullivan, August Sullivan, Reyna Sullivan, Liam Casey, and Luke Casey; brothers, Kenneth Pedersen and Carl Pedersen; and special feline friend, Gizmo.

In addition to her mother, Heather is preceded in death by her brothers, Tommy Pedersen and Keith Pedersen.

Those who knew Heather knew she loved shopping. She could be seen searching for the best deals in town. Heather loved going to the beach for her rest and relaxation. Heather loved to cook and feed everyone that she could.

Heather’s greatest joy in her life was her family. Her love for her family knew no bounds and each moment spent together with them was a memory she cherished forever. Heather will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

The family will be holding a memorial service for Heather on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 7 p.m. at Rosewood First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 5 p.m. until 6:45 p.m.
