Barbara Ann Reese Register, 79, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Wayne UNC Health Care. Born on December 5, 1944 in Mecklenburg County, she was the daughter of the late John Reese and Savannah Davis Reese.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Katie Register Marrette, and husband, Paul; son, Joel Allen Register; her grandchildren, Mylie Hatfield and Lucas Register; and her brother, Thomas Reese.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Douglas Register, and daughter, Sharon Dale Register. 

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the mausoleum chapel at Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Pete Norris officiating.
