John Felzer, 83, passed away on Thursday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. John was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Francis John Felzer and Nadine Nelson Felzer on October 7, 1940. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Butler Felzer, and sister, Janet Tulys.

John proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He later began working as a barber at the BX Barber Shop on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. John had a successful career on base for over 40 years.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive with military honors. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

John is survived by his daughter, Meredith Felzer Mozingo, and husband, Scott; son, Steven Felzer and wife Mary; grandson, Tyler Mozingo, and wife Alli; sister, Barbara Felzer; and brother, Greg Felzer and wife Laura. He is also survived by his friend, Mike Krauss. They enjoyed Thursday night dinners for 39 years allowing them to catch up on current events in each of their lives.
