Dottie Levorn Pridgen, 74, of Pikeville departed this life Monday, November 27, 2023, at UNC Health Wayne in Goldsboro.

Funeral service will be held Friday, December 1, 2023, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Interment will follow at Golden Gate Cemetery in Pikeville. A viewing will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.

Ms. Pridgen was born on August 20, 1949, to the late AJ Pridgen and Mattie Carmon Pridgen. She was a member of Lovick’s Chapel AME Zion Church.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Galvin Pridgen (Christina Smith) of Pikeville; a special granddaughter, Megan Jeffers; her devoted friend, Allen Suggs; five sisters, Mattie Suggs, Carrie Worrell, Susan Jackson (Dellson), Donna Pridgen (Leon) and Alma Davis (Daniel); and a sister-in-law, Annie Pridgen.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Pridgen was preceded in death by one sister, Sheryl Pridgen, and three brothers, Richard Pridgen, Charles Pridgen, and Ivory Pridgen.
