Arrests Made in Case Involving Shots Fired at Dollar Tree

Two females have been arrested following an investigation by the Goldsboro Police Department into a Nov. 8 incident in which shots were fired inside Dollar Tree on Spence Ave.

On Nov. 8 at approximately 2:04 p.m., officers from the Goldsboro Police Department responded to Dollar Tree at 916 N. Spence Ave., in response to multiple 911 calls about shots fired inside the business.

Once on the scene, officers discovered that an altercation had occurred inside the business between a store employee and customers. Investigators with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to the scene and began an investigation.

Investigators were able to confirm that two shots were fired inside the business. No one was struck by the gunfire and there were only minor injuries from the altercation.

As a result of the investigation into this incident, Tessie Wilson, 42, and Yasmine Harper, 29 have been charged. Wilson was arrested on Nov. 16 and charged with one felony count of discharging a firearm within an enclosure to incite fear, and one misdemeanor count of assault with a deadly weapon. Harper was arrested on Nov. 28 and charged with one misdemeanor count of simple assault.
