Mrs. Eliza Smith Jones, 103, completed her earthly journey and took her eternal rest on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at UNC Wayne Healthcare, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11:00 am with a viewing from 10:00 am to 10:50 am at First African Baptist Church, 803 Harris Street, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Elmwood Cemetery, 900 W. Brick Street, Goldsboro, NC.

She was born on February 24, 1920, in Person County, NC to Howard B. Smith and Emma C. Hester Smith. She is survived by her children: Jeannette (Curtis) Inman and Robert (Marvelle) Jones.
