Leacy Carolyn Worley Honeycutt, 80, of Smithfield, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Honeycutt was born in Wayne County on September 18, 1943, and was the daughter of the late Joshua Lee and Maude McLamb Worley. She was the widow of the late James Gerald Honeycutt and was also preceded in death by a daughter; Janet Hendrickson, a sister; Shirley Weaver, and a niece Diane Price.

Mrs. Honeycutt was a member of Tee’s Chapel.  She loved her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was “Mama Carolyn or Nanny” to many neighbors and friends.

The Funeral Service will be conducted at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, November 21st, at The Casey Funeral Home & Cremations Chapel with the Reverend Dennis Pollock officiating.  The family will receive friends and family from 4:00 pm until 5:45 pm just prior to the funeral service, Tuesday.  The committal will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday morning in the Tee’s Chapel Cemetery.

She is survived by sons; Dana Erickson and wife, Sandra of Smithfield and David Erickson and wife. Cindy of Spring Hope, son-in-law; Steve Hendrickson and wife, Cindy of Watkins, Minnesota, daughters; Karen Webster and husband, Troy of Smithfield, Missy Erickson of Smithfield, sister; Faye Edwards and husband Phillip of Princeton, 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
