It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Russell Peters, Jr., 72. on November 9, 2023, at his residence. John was born to the late John Russell Peters, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Barclay Peters in Norfolk, VA on August 2, 1951.

Mr. Peters was a very educated and accomplished professor with degrees in biology and biochemistry. He was a professor at many colleges through the year, but most recently at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte.

Mr. Peters will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Goldsboro, NC.
