Jeremy Allen Lancaster

Jeremy Allen Lancaster

November 6, 2023, 30, Goldsboro —

August 3, 1993 – November 6, 2023

Jeremy Allen Lancaster was taken from this life on Monday, November 6, 2023. He was born in Wayne County to Angie Kissner Lancaster and the late Michael Jan Lancaster on August 3, 1993. In addition to his father, Jeremy was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Paul and Landora Lancaster; maternal grandparents, William and Nellie Kissner; mother-in-law, Billie Jo Coltren; and his beloved canine companion, Ace.

With a larger-than-life personality and conversational skills to match, Jeremy made friends quickly and got along with most anyone. Though he had a stubborn streak a mile long, he also possessed the most tender heart imaginable. He felt that in order for anything to be done right, he needed to do it himself. He maintained the same independence from toddlerhood into adulthood.

Anyone who knew Jeremy knew that he would have his hat and glasses at all times and that he would always be in a rush. Jeremy moved quickly and expected everyone else to do the same unless he was about town alone. He then would take twice as long as he normally would, because he stopped and talked with everyone he came in contact with. His work ethic was unmatched, and he was a jack-of-all-trades.

From welding to building to cooking a pig, Jeremy had mastered many skills. He learned to cook from his daddy and could grill and season a hog unlike anyone else. With a great love and passion for the outdoors, Jeremy enjoyed hunting and fishing every chance he had. His father introduced him to hunting at only three years old, not knowing that one day Jeremy would help him take his final buck.

Jeremy’s family and faith took priority over all else. He attended Goldsboro Worship Center and continued to strive to be the man he knew God would have him be, even when life’s difficulties seemed too heavy. The third of four children, Jeremy enjoyed time spent with his older brothers and baby sister and was loved deeply by his mama and daddy. The love of Jeremy’s life was his brand-new baby boy, Noah. He was most proud of the title “daddy” and worked hard to be the best father he could. Jeremy’s bride, Brianna, held the keys to his heart and the two were working to build a better life. Though he was taken far too soon, Jeremy’s legacy will live on through the stories told and the values instilled in his son, Noah, by his wife and family.

A service to celebrate Jeremy’s life and mourn his passing will be held at Rouse Funeral Home on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 3 p.m. Committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery in La Grange. Jeremy’s family will receive friends from 1-2:45 p.m. prior to the service as well as other times at 221 Ryan Way, Goldsboro.

In addition to his mother, Jeremy is survived by his wife, Brianna West Lancaster; son, Noah Jan Lancaster; siblings, Matthew Lancaster, Michael Lancaster, and Mary Beth Lancaster Smith (Zach); niece, Eleanor, nephew, Lynwood, and a nephew soon to be born; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Stephanie West; brothers-in-law, Hunter Dean (Anna) and Garrett West; close friends, Eddie and Joyce Epps and Tom Meyers; and his faithful canine, Roxie.
