The Management and Staff of Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors announce the earthly transition of Mrs. Anita Lavette Williams (Coley) 53, of Goldsboro, NC.

Anita Lavette Coley Williams was born on August 28, 1970. She grew up in Goldsboro, North Carolina, and attended Wayne County Public Schools. Anita started working with the State of North Carolina in 2009. Anita loved to cook, dance, and have a good time surrounded by family and friends. Anita was known for her gentle spirit whenever you saw her, she had a smile on her face. Anita had a bright and energetic personality and was known to always see the good in people no matter who they were. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.

Anita was preceded in death by her biological father Glenwood Lane.

Anita will forever be loved and remembered by, her husband Leroy Williams, her mother Varetta Cherry, her father Tony Cherry, her daughter Xavier Coley, her son Travonte’ Coley, two stepdaughters Shamika Williams and Shannika Williams, three sisters Shawnette Davis (Joe), Casandra Coley, Shon Lofton, 8 grandkids, 1 sister-in-law, 6 brothers-in-law, a host of nieces and nephews, and a host of aunts and uncles.
