Willie May Evans, 83, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Wayne County on November 20, 1939, to the late Patrick Eugene Evans and Annie Marie Howell Evans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lois Strickland and Mary Dudley; and brothers, Johnny Eugene Evans, James Earl Evans, and Danny Wilbert Evans.

For many years, Willie worked as a truck driver in the logging industry. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

At his request, no formal services will be held and his remains will be placed with his family at Willow Dale Cemetery.

Willie is survived by his sisters, Joyce Lee, Sally Marie Jones, and Patricia Evans; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
