Tammy Rhoades Barwick passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. She was born in West Virginia to the late David Kent Rhoades and Noka Sue Carver Rhoades on October 23, 1970.

Tammy was devoted to her family and friends. She loved to help anytime she could and was always there for them. When she loved, she loved with all her heart. Her husband, children, and grandchildren meant the world to her. But Tammy also had a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews. They were like her own.

To relax, Tammy found her way to the ocean and carried her fishing pole. This was her happy place. The great outdoors seemed to cure whatever was bothering her. It was even better if she could share the experience with those she loved.

Tammy worshiped her Lord and Savior at Love Memorial Baptist Church. She was an active member and shared her talents by singing in the choir. Tammy was grateful for all God had done for her and this was her way of serving Him. She was a strong woman who was kind and caring.

A service of love and remembrance will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 11:00 am, at Love Memorial Baptist Church in Goldsboro. Visitation will take place in the hour prior to the service. A private committal will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Kevin Barwick; sons, David Rhoades (Elisabeth), Bryan Rhoades (Delyn), Cameron Barwick, and Jared Barwick (Tela); grandchildren, Tristian, Hunter, Bryan Jr., and Koa; siblings, David K. Rhoades, II. (Synthia), Tonia Gooding (Thomas), and Ray Rhoades (Kim); as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
