The Wayne County Development Alliance (WCDA) announced Thursday evening that T. A. Loving Company was the 2023 recipient of the Wayne County “Industry of the Year” award.
The announcement was made at the WCDA annual Industry Appreciation Reception at Walnut Creek Country Club. The reception also recognizes Wayne County industries for their milestones/years of service and continued efforts in economic growth in Wayne County.
“Our company has called Wayne County home for 98 years, and our work has taken us to no less than eleven states,” said Sam Hunter, Chairman of T. A. Loving Company. “Building for the people of Wayne County and having T. A. Loving Company and the construction industry recognized locally for those contributions is an honor we’re extremely proud of. We’re thrilled to be able to continue to contribute to the economic expansion and success of Wayne County. They are dedicated to their customers and strive to exceed expectations. T. A. Loving is involved in many areas of our community. Civic clubs, charities– they have been an excellent corporate citizen for years, and they do these things, not for recognition, but because of who they are.”

Loving has a rich history of the company and the projects that have impacted the State of North Carolina.”
Milestone achievement awards were also given out at last night’s event. The winners were: The Andersons (10 years), Alta Foods (15 years), Ryerson (20 years), Wheeler Industries (25 years), Culligan (30 years), Benton and Sons (40 years), Georgia Pacific (50 years), Arnold-Wilbert (70 years), Goldsboro Builders Supply (70 years).
