John T. Tweedlie, 87, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Brookdale Country Day Senior Living. John was born in Moundsville, WV to the late, Thomas Leo F. Tweedlie and Carman Smalley.

Mr. Tweedlie served his country honorably for 24 years and retired as a MSgt from the United States Air Force. He served in many positions including aircraft mechanic, flight line super, and maintenance superintendent.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Haruko Mikami Tweedlie, a daughter Catherine Mary Russell, his brothers, Fredrick Tweedlie, Patrick Tweedlie, and Robert Tweedlie, his sisters, Catherine Carney and Carol Menear.

John is survived by a daughter, Rose Ann Martin (Walter) of Goldsboro, a son, Thomas Leo Tweedlie (Renee) of Ohio, a brother, Joseph Tweedlie of Benwood WV, and a sister, Isabella Tweedlie of Wheeling, WV.

John was the grandfather to 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
John was a loving and caring man who always had a smile and a joke for everyone. He was a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys, the NC State Wolfpack, and the Carolina Panthers. John will be missed by all.

A private service will be held.
