Four People Airlifted From Busco Beach in Weekend Accidents

Four people were airlifted with serious injuries from Busco Beach ATV Park last weekend.

WRAL was the first to report the story.

According to the Busco Beach Facebook page, the park changed ownership in early October. The page lists Gary, Christy, and Landon Cantrell and Alan and Jada Parham as the new owners of Busco Beach.

Busco Beach hosted the Fall Bash event from Oct. 5 through Oct. 8 with large crowds and hundreds of riders converging on the park.

Busco Beach has had a history of accidents, and in April of 2022, a 16-year-old boy had his arm partially amputated following an accident at the park. In May of 2021, a 46-year-old man drowned at Busco Beach.

According to Wayne County emergency officials, 13 people have died at Busco Beach since 2000. Seven of those deaths took place in ATV crashes, and six others died in drownings.
