Douglas Wayne Ricks, 71, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at his home. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church, 9300 Johnson Farm Rd, Kenly, NC 27542. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the sanctuary with Pastor David West officiating. Interment will conclude at Corbett Family Cemetery, 5438 NC-39, Selma, NC 27576.
