Berkeley Mall Evacuated After Bomb Threat

At approximately 11:39 a.m. Tuesday, communications received a report of a bomb threat at Berkeley Mall.

Goldsboro Police Department’s Patrol, VICE, Investigations, as well as Seymour Johnson EOD, Goldsboro Fire Department, and EMS, responded to the scene.

The mall and some surrounding businesses were evacuated. After a walk-through of the area, the scene was cleared at 1:14 p.m. The mall will remain closed until 3 p.m.
