Ms. Bertharine “Bert” Holmes, 83, kept the faith and finished her course on Tuesday, September 18, 2023, at the Willow Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held graveside on Monday, September 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Golden Gates Memorial Gardens, 4734 Hwy 117 North, Pikeville, NC.

She was born on October 24, 1939, in Wayne County, NC to Graham Holmes and Bessie Ann Wright Holmes.
