On the afternoon of Sept. 22, Mount Olive firefighters along with a Wayne County EMS unit were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of NC 55 East and Breazeale Ave. in front of McDonald’s.
A green Toyota SUV and a red minivan collide at the entries. The driver of the minivan was taken to the hospital to be checked out, while the driver of the green vehicle refused treatment from EMS on the scene and remained at the crash site.
Mount Olive Police Officers are investigating the accident with charges pending.
