Leonard Joel “Joey” Elmore, 64, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. Joey was born in Wayne County to the late Joel Elmore and Bobbie Howell Stokes on August 29, 1959.

Joey was a valued employee of 3C Inc. Store Fixtures in Wilson. He grew up in church and was a long-time member of Pikes Crossroad Pentecostal Holiness Church.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Keith Hudson officiating. The interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

Joey is survived by his wife, Peggy Driver Elmore; stepson, Joshua Matthew Barber of Chicago, IL; aunt, Brenda Howell of Goldsboro; and two cousins, Betty Jean Reeves and Diane Massengill.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
