Annual Cures for the Colors Event Less Than Two Weeks Away

The countdown to the annual Cures for the Colors Color Run has officially begun. The event, which is being held on Sept. 23, at Wayne Community College, is less than two weeks away.

With an action-packed day of family-friendly activities, heartwarming stories of courage, and a rainbow of colors waiting to burst forth, there’s no better way to spend your weekend on Saturday.

Mark your calendars for these important event details:

  • Race Check-In Opens: 7:15 AM
  • Opening Ceremony: 8:00 AM
  • ·Fun Run Start: 8:30 AM
  • 5K Start: 9:15 AM
  • Goldsboro Pediatrics Kid’s Zone: Open from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM
  • Awards Ceremony: 10:30 AM

“The Cures for the Colors Color Run is more than just a race; it’s a symbol of the resilience and strength of our community coming together to support those who are battling cancer and need some extra help,” says Emma Barmes, Board Member of Southeastern Cancer Care “We are deeply grateful to our community members, sponsors, and volunteers who make this event possible, and we can’t wait to share this incredible day with everyone.”

The Goldsboro Pediatrics Kid’s Zone will keep our youngest participants entertained with inflatables that will bring smiles and laughter from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.. It’s the perfect opportunity for families to share this meaningful experience together.

The Cures for the Colors Color Run is also scheduled to include a vendor village featuring 15 fantastic vendors. The vendors will be offering free swag, delicious sweets, coffee, clothing, purses, cozy blankets, and much more.
