Mr. Julius O. Smith, 65, completed his final mission on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the Durham VA Medical Center, Durham, NC. The memorial celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. He will be interred at a later date at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC.

He was born in Wayne County, NC to Julius Artis Smith and Helen Louise Lofton Smith. He is survived by his mother, siblings, and other loving relatives and friends.
