Roy Allen Warrick, 69, of Goldsboro completed his earthly journey Thursday evening, August 24, 2023, at UNC Health Wayne in Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, from 2 until 2:45 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. A graveside service will immediately follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.
Roy was born in Johnston County on December 11, 1953, to the late Jobie and Winnie Glisson Warrick. He loved going to car shows, going to watch wrestling, and spending time with his family at breakfast and dinner at various restaurants in Goldsboro. He was an avid junker and enjoyed going to yard sales and spending time searching for those special deals and treasures…. “One man’s junk is another man’s treasures”.
He is survived by two sons, Danny Grady and wife, Mary Ann of Goldsboro and Robert Barley and wife, Denise of Goldsboro; two daughters, Tina Warrick of Goldsboro and Sheila Cordell of Goldsboro; three brothers, Joseph Warrick of Smithfield, George Head of Snow Hill and Robert Warrick of Goldsboro; four grandchildren, Chris, Micheal (Stephanie Grady), Brandon (Tami) and Amanda; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; his beloved dog, Boo and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Bernice Louise Herring Warrick; one son, Leonard Grady; one brother, Eddie Warrick; three sisters, Brenda Roach, Darline Know, and Judy Rhodes and a son-in-law, Kenneth Ray Warrick.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
