Rain is in the forecast as Wayne County Public Schools students begin the 2023-24 school year on Monday.

The National Weather Service forecast calls for a 60% chance of rain, with rainfall amounts expected to be between a tenth and a quarter of an inch.

Temperatures on Monday are expected to be in the high 80s. The chance of rain for the coming week continues through Thursday.
