Donald Lee Davis, 77, passed away at ECU Medical Center Hospice House on Saturday, August 19, 2023. Born in Dunn, NC on February 22, 1946, he was the son of the late Hulon Lee Davis and Grace Bass Davis.

For many years, Don worked for himself selling cars and later started Precision Vinyl Works a home improvement business. His outgoing and personable personality made it easy for him to connect with others. Don met many friends along the way. When not working, Don could be seen at the beach with a rod and reel in hand. On Sundays, Don would be in front of the TV watching the NASCAR race. Don had a keen and deep appreciation for classic cars, particularly muscle cars.

Don’s love for his family knew no bounds. He loved all his family and each moment spent with them was a treasured memory. Don will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and brother.

A graveside service with military honors to celebrate Donald’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. at the Davis Family Cemetery with Pastor Philip Wood presiding. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Don is survived by his wife, Jane Edwards Davis; daughters, Sara Davis and husband, Chris Tetterton, and Dana Davis; and siblings, Judy Davis Vernon and husband, Jimmy, Ronnie Davis and wife, Sue, and Michael Davis and wife, Katina. Donald also had several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who have provided care for the past several years.
