Christel Page Oppelt McGowan, 50, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023.  She was born in Miami, Florida on September 25, 1972, to Sharon Linn Berge Oppelt and the late David Victor Oppelt.

Christel was a Physical Fitness Trainer for 20 years, helping people achieve their physical goals.  She loved the Lord.  She was a helper; helping people with not only their physical issues but other personal issues as well.  Christal loved her family very much even though many miles separated them.  She also loved her canine friends, Dixie and Lucy which she walked every morning.

She is survived by her husband, Garrett Eugene McGowan; daughter, Ashley Anays of Florida; sisters, Sharon Michelle Ehret (John) of Australia, Kimberly Linn Laffey (Marty) of Florida, Christina Suarez (Daniel) of Florida, and Kendra Dawn Michelle Suarez (Daniel) of Florida; and Kendra Terra Oppelt of Florida; and grandchildren, Oscar and Seth.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations in Princeton.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at 12:00 noon at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel with Pastor Roger Duvall, Pastor Rusty Russell, and Pastor George Arant speaking.
