Mason Eugene Siers, age 78, passed away Wednesday at the Heros Way Hospice at the Durham VA Medical Center. Born in Greenbrier County, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Dorlo Lee Siers and Audrey Gregory Siers. He was a member of the Jordan Memorial United Methodist Church in Ramseur, NC where he was past chairman of the Pastor-Parrish Relations Committee and the Finance Committee. He was a former member of the Optimist Club, the National Rifle Association, and the N.C. Taxidermist Association. He was involved with the Boy Scouts of America and was a former Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader along with the Order of the Arrow. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

A service to celebrate Mason’s life will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Jordan Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Chris Smith and Brother John Winfrey officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. A committal service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

Mr. Siers is survived by his wife, Brenda Fisher Siers; a son and daughter-in-law, Derek Lee (Cyndi) Siers; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shelia S. (John) Winfrey, Cheri S. (Mel) Powers; a sister and brother in law, Shanda S. (Mike) Prince; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmie Allen Siers and Sherman Lee Siers.
