JoAnn Rose Grant, 66, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 4, 2023, surrounded by her family. JoAnn was born in Wayne County to the late Jack C. Rose, Sr., and Jean Daughtry Rose on November 5, 1956.

Upon graduation from Goldsboro High School, JoAnn ventured into the business world to utilize her God-given talents as a floral designer. As owner and operator of Rose’s Florist in Goldsboro, she dedicated over 50 years of service to her loyal business family, creating unique and fresh designs for each patron. No matter what her customers had in mind, JoAnn could take their vision and make it a reality. Her artistic flair and attentive eye were vital parts of her business success. For JoAnn, customers were more than business transactions; they were dear friends.

JoAnn participated in worship as a member of First Christian Church.

A service celebrating JoAnn’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at First Christian Church. The family will greet friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.

JoAnn is survived by her daughters, Melissa Rose Roberts (Sam Walden) and Amanda Rose Lucas (Jamie Lee Lucas); grandchildren, Catledge McKayla RaeAnn Weeks (William Weeks), Sawyer Grant, and Addison Jean Lucas; husband and father of her children, Donnie Ray Grant; brothers, Jack Rose, Jr. and Jeff Rose (Lou); sister-in-life, Mary Jane Rose; and her nephews and niece, Jackson, William, Josh, Rob, Nick, Jay, and Jenny.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
