Faye Aycock Lane, 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 24, 2023, while being cared for at Goldsboro Assisted Living after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Faye was born in Wayne County to the late Alston and Thelma Clayton Aycock.

Around the farm, Faye worked right alongside the rest of her family through each activity. Busy from sun up to sun down, she was devoted to serving her family and lending a helping hand. Family was Faye’s ultimate joy but many remember Faye as an avid softball player.

At her request, no formal service will be held.

Faye is survived by her twin daughters, Bonnie Lancaster, and husband, Mark and Donnie Ferrell and husband, Timmy; grandchildren, Tyler Lancaster and wife, Summer, Brett Lancaster and wife, Tracie, Blake Ferrell, and Jenna Smith and husband, Dirk; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Joyce Torres.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Randall Aycock and Shorty Aycock; sister, Lois Grady; and the father of her children, Paul Lane.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
