Goldsboro Police Respond to Shooting on Maple Street

On Tuesday, at approximately 2:58 p.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to the 1900 block of Maple Street regarding a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers were advised that the victim left the area and was transported by personal vehicle to the hospital.

Officers then responded to UNC Health Wayne, where they spoke with the victim, Rajohn Yarborough, 23, who reported being shot in the 1900 block of Maple Street. He was subsequently transported to ECU Health Medical Center for further treatment. The victim was in serious condition. The Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau responded to the scene. This investigation is ongoing.
