Zeb Mitchell, 82, a resident of Dudley, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Zeb was born in Wayne County to the late A.J. Mitchell, Sr., and Minnie Anderson Mitchell on September 20, 1940. He was a valued employee of Live Wire Electrical Company. Zeb proudly served his country in the United States Army.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023, in the Anderson Family Cemetery at 2352 Arrington Bridge Road, Dudley, NC. Rev. Brad Mitchell will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Zeb is survived by his sisters-in-law, Martha Mitchell, Shelby Mitchell, and Alice Mitchell, and several nieces and nephews he loved very much.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, A.J. Mitchell, Jimmy Mitchell, and Bruce Mitchell; sisters, Lorraine M. Carter, Elizabeth Anderson, and Annette M. Carter and three infant sisters.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
